Baader 415 fish heading machine performs a single circular cut and is fed by one operator. Because the collar bone stays on the body, the machine slots directly into a klipfish line ahead of a splitting machine such as the Baader 440, with which it forms a complete heading-and-splitting plant. Compared with a V-cut header like the Baader 417, the round-cut principle leaves more of the nape meat on the fish, giving a higher finished-product weight for salted and dried fish. Its compact single-station footprint and modest water and power requirements make it easy to integrate into an existing line and economical to run.
